December 15,2007   Kayak trip   9am meet at Boat Ramp,  9:30 Depart on trip.

Rick and I would like to host a trip with both an overnight camp option but due to its close proximity, members can choose to do it as a day trip. There will be two paddle options as well to accommodate all skill and interest levels. December 15 Kayak Trip leaving from Koreshan State Park, Estero Fl Paddling Option 1- Mound Key/Lovers Key Paddle Leaving from Koreshan State Park to Lovers Key with a stop at Mound Key. 7 mile trip with paddling difficulty largely determined by conditions. Launch time: 9:30 a.m. Paddling Option 2- Estero River Paddle For those not up to the challenge of the Estero Bay paddle, a leisurely day of paddling along the Estero River will also be provided. Great for the beginner paddler or Moms with kids in tow. Launch time: flexible Camping is available at Koreshan State Park for $22 per night plus tax. Tent and RV sites are available but should be booked quickly to ensure availability. A group dinner option or potluck will be added if there is enough interest to make it a possibility.

If December proves to be a difficult time with the holidays, we can reschedule for 2008 but thought this might be a fun, quick trip before Christmas. If you wear your Santa hat, maybe I'll even kick in a little extra Christmas surprise!
