Dear GCBP Members, 
Again our apologies for not having this info at the last meeting but we were north with the death of my
mother. Phil and I called the Canoe Outpost ( http://www.canoeoutpost.com/ ), (863-494-1215) in
Arcadia today and made tentative reservations for the15th of March. This was the first available date to
get the 10 o'clock departure time for the 16-mile trip down the Peace River.

The cost is $40 plus tax for the trip up the river with or without a canoe rental from them. We used
their canoe last trip because we decided it was less hassle for us and for those members with individual
kayaks it would be cheaper than taking two individual kayaks at $40 apiece.

We asked about restaurants in the area and we were told about a Chi-Chi's, but we will scout that out
before we go. Please call us within the week so we can firm up the reservation for the bus. If we get a good
response we will send directions and itinerary in the future. Our home phone is 239-673-7211, cell phone is
